"The Elite Stroke" a show of Russ's latest works on paper. Paper as a substrate has always been a favorite medium of his beginning with Russ's early days as a graphic designer. His studio is full of hand laid papers and watercolor papers in all sizes and textures. Marrying these with ink, paint, gold leaf and collage bring forth a different dimension than his works on canvas.
Stop by the gallery meet Russ, view his new works and enjoy music by Leavin' Tulsa, hors d'oeurvres and beverages.
Friday, September 2nd 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Showcasing "Outsider In: The Untamable Art of guest artist Tom Coyle, a Maine artist, good friend of ours and part of our extended family. His work is interesting and compelling, with touches of humor. We can't help put a show on for Tom's work in the gallery. We look forward to you joining us.
Music by Leavin' Tulsa, hors d'oeurvres and beverages.
Saturday, October 8th 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.

"In his artists’ statement, Russell D’Alessio declares: “If I could paint with the fire of Picasso and the soul of Chagall, I would certainly find my nirvana.” However, visitors to the gallery Russell and wife Linda manage in Bar Harbor merely have to behold Russell’s works to find bliss.
Thanks to themes of “childlike innocence” and “eternal youth” and vivid animation coloring each canvas, paper, and multimedia vessel, a stroll around D’Alessio Gallery is as much a joyous emotional adventure as hiking nearby Cadillac Mountain is a physical one.
“For Russ, painting is more than just drawing what you see; it is an adventure, a journey of discovery,” Linda says. - Heather Chapman"
